Merritt's Bio
Merritt Hunt was born in Barre, Vermont in 1949 and graduated in 1968 from the local high school there. After high school, he attended Vermont Technical College in Randolph, Vermont.
Merritt married Meggin Briggs in 1975 and they have four children. Merritt attended Bible College in Alberta, Canada and then moved to the Seattle area in 1980. Merritt and members of his family have done mission work overseas and Merritt has been a member of his local church for 23 years.
Merritt has always worked closely with people to better their lives and in 1980 he started his career in the financial services field. In 1984, he joined the team at Shelgren Financial Group. Over the years, after assisting many men and women in their retirement plans, he has developed a mission statement. “We help people retire in style.”
In February, 2007, Merritt’s office was designated as a branch office of Shelgren Financial Group. This office is conveniently located in Federal Way, WA. Merritt and his fine staff are dedicated to putting together the financial pieces of the puzzle that create what he calls lifestyle retirement.
