Dan's Bio

Dan has been helping people plan for a sound and secure financial future since 1985. His professional objective is to assist his clients in identifying and attaining the financial goals through conscientious planning and diversified investing.

Dan is an Investment Advisor Representative with Shelgren Financial Group, Inc. In addition, he is a Registered Principal (Series 24), General Securities Representative (Series 7 & 63) with Great American Advisors and holds both life and disability insurance licenses.

Over the years, Dan has gained widespread recognition for his extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of tax-sheltered accounts and retirement planning and has been frequently invited to speak on these subjects at conferences and seminars.

He is a graduate of Western Washington University, where he received a Bachelors Degree in Education. Dan worked for 12 years as a teacher and coach in the Clover Park School District. Dan and his wife Carolyn make their home in Lakewood.

Fun fact: Dan paid $200 for his first car. The car was a Chevy Bel Air that included all the options; including the rope that tied the door shut.
